Ok so I'm sort of out of action

Last Thursday I had replacement joints in both my knees. This has certainly been very difficult and I thought that I would be able to do lots of things as I would be able to sit down. Well I can sit and I can stand but the transision is what is the more difficult part. But Hey if I can get home then I can craft and that will be much better
The day goes very slow but time is on hold as the brain is a bit fuzzy at times but it will all improve.

Iris Folding Vase

Last night on Crafters Anonymous we did Iris folding. This is a very easy technique when you know how, having said that untill you actually see someone do it the concept can elude you. There are some great videos on youtube some of which actually tell you what the concept of the iris folding is all about. Now having woffled in the 2 cards above the vase has the iris folding and of course being a vase I had to put flowers into them. The card on the left is a flower cut from the net that came with a boquet of flowers I got when I got my new car a couple of months ago and the flowers in the second card were just a strip of paper that I cut into and rolled up like a quilling flower and spread out. I have taken some close up of the flowers on the second card as these were done with little strips of paper and a pair of sissors in about 5 minutes. The leaves were cut from a folded piece of cardstock which I then folded to create the veins in the leaves.

Stamping on Candles

Today I had a StampinUp craft workshop where we made a box and stamped on candles. The box was made and the hole cut in the top and perspect was placed in the top so you could see through it. The sides of the box were embossed with SU 'Heat and Stick' and we added glitter. The candles were stamped and added to the box. This has made an awesome gift box for anyone and the ladies had a great time.

Witch Card

Well Ema here is my witch card. I have always loved this saying and it just seemed right for this card. The witch and the tree are cut from Cricut Happy Hauntings and the sentiment well don't you think it goes well. I was just going to put the tree and entangled witch on the card front but it faded into the background as it was so dark. I stitch outlined the tree to make the witch show up more.

2 more bags from Cricut Foreve Young Cartridge. Soo cute. Love the shiny pink embossed with paisley, and the above one is again Mariposa paper cut so I could get the best from the picture on the paper.

Purse from Forever Young

A purse from Cricut Forever Young. I was trying out the embossing on the front and back and added punch butterflys. I took it to work as I was going to give it to someone and then found out it was one of the patients birthdays. When I found this I thought I would give her the bag so had a little card and wrote Happy Birthday and gave her the bag. It is bad enough being in hospital but worse if its your birthday and you are in hospital. I hope I cheered her up.

Wee bag

This weeks online class at Crafters Anonymous we made a little bag. It is so cute. This one I made with one of the papers from the Mariposa stack of foil and glitter Butterflys. I have made the handle with the same paper and there are 2 eyelets in the top which are gold to thread the handle through. I used a brad to form the closure for the lid of the bag. I embossed it with a cuttlebug folder Flourished Frame that has a plain square in the centre so I didn't damage the butterfly and surrounded it in flowers.
