Box Card class

I love having people over to scrapbook and make cards but my passion is 3d and when I was asked to show people how to decorate a card with the Cricut I was in my element.
This is a box card. It folds so you can put it into a 6 inch envelope but once the ladies had finished no one wanted to send their cards they all wanted to keep them. The open bottom box is very easy to make  just a box with no bottom! Then add the bars in the centre of the box and decorate. Well I was suppose to show what they could do with a Cricut so I made some bees from Create a critter 2, scalloped hearts with inner hearts to match from CCR basic shapes, flowers from AP and then embossed the flowers in a star burst folder and then gave them  all the things to decorate with. Tis is what they came up with.

 Now aren't those little bees floating in the breeze awesome.

Challenge to find something to do

Well I took up the challenge it was
challenge, for those looking for something to do
1: using just scraps of paper, do a page with no more than 4 photos. use stamps, and make your own embellishments. show finished product.
2: use your age to choose a page in any ctmh ideas book, and copy as best you can. post photo of finished product.

Well here is my page (but not my age)
This is made of scraps I had left from cutting 18 crackers from the CTMH Artiste cartridge before Christmas. I used Art Philosophy to cut all the embellishments and the title. I had the purple bling in my stash and it fit the purpose. The stamp is on the little note page that is in a pocket under the photo where you can see the white hanging out the bottom with pink sparklie tape on it. The stamp is actually like the lines on a note book so I have written the story of the purple ribbon for my DGD who was 3y 3m 3weeks when she entered her first Gymkhana on her new pony.

Christmas Tree from Rosettes

This is a little Christmas tree made from Rosettes from the CTMH Artiste cartridge. Make the rosettes from .75 inches to 2.5 inches and layer them one on top of the other. The base is a straight piece of cardstock rolled up. The star is from the CTMH  Art Philosophy cartridge.

CTMH Laughing Lols Workshop on the go

Hi as many of you will know I have signed up with Close to my Heart as a Consultant. My kit duly arrived and with great excitement I opened it and inside was the Laughing Lola Workshop on the go (WOTG) pack. This is papers and embellishments and a stamp set that you can do layouts with. It also comes with a layout chart and how to cut everything. I am not that good at making pages as I need the theory behind what I am doing so scrapbook pages have always been a challenge. This one was still a challenge as it had vertical photos and one 6x6 on the 2nd page but I checked things out and came up with this alternative and am happy with the result. My water sprite decide to investigate the garden pond and I just happened to be sitting by snapping photos. These seemed to be just what I needed to scrap today.
I used the Laughing Lola WOTG the stamp amazing is from the stamp set that comes with it as is the flower. The photo corners I cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge they are on the decorative font layer in the last row. I showcased the vertical photo by using cream photo corners whereas I have used blue photo corners on the other pictures. The upper flower banner is actually straight it is the way the photo has been taken.

Shamrock Card

Bitten by the Bug 2 has another challenge -Luck of the Irish Challenge so I thought I would go green. I was reading some Irish blessings this is "A Wish for a Friend" to all my friends-

Wishing you a rainbow 

For sunlight after showers— 

Miles and miles of Irish smiles 

For golden happy hours— 

Shamrocks at your doorway 

For luck and laughter too, 

And a host of friends that never ends 

Each day your whole life through!

this was what prompted me to make so many shamrocks so they can have 'Shamrocks for their doorway' I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and in CCR used hide contour to separate out the shamrock. Enlarged it and added smaller ones to the inside of the leaves to cut out through the leaves. The sentiment was printed on the computer and cut out so I could have the words in white. The shamrocks are glittered with a gold and green glue glitter.

But ain't dis cute

 I belong to a site called CraftersAnonymous and every Monday there is a tutorial if we wish to participate. The tutorial today was a heart card!!! well it is really, it just in the way you look at things. Now I did think this  body was better in the forest out of view "butt the bunnies tell me" and they can see. and the other side of the card is boob-a-licious.

The speckles round the middle are vinyl left over after I cut the letters from Cricut cartridge Folk Art festival, the flowers are rolled flowers from Cricut cartridges CTMH Artiste and Art Philosophy. I have used soft suede card stock from Stampin Up for the card base.

3d flower challenge BBTB2 - flower

I was playing round with the Cricut cutting material and wanting to do a rolled flower from the CTMH cartridge in material to see how it turned out. This flower is cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and I have added some leaves. It would make a nice addition to a blouse. I love how the edges have frayed  and it has squashed down. Check out other people who have used CTMH cartridges to make the 3d flowers on Bitten by the Bug 2.

Table name for wedding

The couple getting married wanted table numbers with a bit of a difference. This is suppose to represent a DOC (Department of Conservation) sign. the sign is green with a yellow bar across the top and a DOC logo on the left. the card stock was given to us to work with. The DOC logo I took from a picture of one of their signs then manipulated it in ecal till I had it right and then cut them on the eclips. The name and numbers I cut in vinyl using the Cricut and the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge for the font.
