Angela's last day deserved something special so I made her cupcakes with an A. Chocolate mini cupcakes with white chocolate icing and white choc flakes with an A cut from the Cricut Cake.
This is my scrapin Blog where I am going to keep all things I scrap about. I have discovered I love papercrafting and making things from paper and card. I have done crafts for years but have no record of them. Now I have decided it would be good to keep a record, so I am going to keep a record of everything I make so when I am forgetful I will be able to come back and go through my blog for a memory jog.

Kelly the cake artist
I spent the weekend with my good friend and up line StampinUp Demonstrator Julia. Her daughter Kelly and I spent Sunday night playing with the cricut cake. Kelly made cupcakes and we cut decorations out of fondant on the cc. Kelly did a fantastic job of decorating the cupcakes. I had so much fun as we rolled the fondant sooo very thin and then watched as the Cricut Cake cut it out. Kelly then had the job of using the picker to pick all the tiny bits out of the butterfly wings and flowers. Kelly is awesome and has a lot of talent. I can see her getting a Cricut cake to decorate her cupcakes. My grateful thanks to Julia for putting up with me for the weekend and for letting Kelly and I loose in her kitchen.

A paper Cake for Sandra
Sandra Boston from Kiwi Cakes came to Tauranga on Saturday to demo the cricut cake machine. I had the privilage of being her assistant and watching as she cut words and intricut detailed cuts and laid them on the cake dummies we had been supplied with. Not to be outdone Friday night I made Sandra a cake in paper to show her how it can be done both ways. I used a sheet of A5 paper and cuts from Cake basics cartridge and this is what I came up with. The Happy birthday is layered onto the shadow of the same words the trim at the top is the scalloped border welded and the trim at the bottom is the negative of the scalloped border. the butterfly the paisley and the heart are cuts I wanted to try so I added them to show the cuts.

Birthday Card for Regan
This is a birthday card for Regans 1st birthday. Done in a bit of a hurry for J&J to take with them I have just realised I forgot to put a number 1 on it. Well never mind I do think it is cute. The bee and the hive are from CAC and the lettering is from Cake basics. for the sparklie pink card I used a premade card from the Warehouse that was sparklie. Made the card and used a gate fold with the scor-pal layered the inside then it looked a little plain so I used the scor-pal to emboss diagnal lines to give it some depth.
