This is my scrapin Blog where I am going to keep all things I scrap about. I have discovered I love papercrafting and making things from paper and card. I have done crafts for years but have no record of them. Now I have decided it would be good to keep a record, so I am going to keep a record of everything I make so when I am forgetful I will be able to come back and go through my blog for a memory jog.

Hidden Garden
Hi over at Crafters Anonymous we do challenges each week. this week was a card and we had to decorate it. I chose to do a Hidden Garden. the ribbon punch lace from the SU punch is so versatile. The base of the pot I made so I could put the flowers in behind it.
Holiday Lineup and another Santa box
This is what I made at the workshop I had. Using the same stampset 'Holiday Lineup but using a different stamp in the set. I used the
122362 Lace Ribbon Border punch to make the lace round the 2 edges. The Santa box we embossed with the square lattice (119976) folder and I used the new christmas stocking punch to make the boots for Santa. I love the way this little treat box goes together so quickly. Remember anyone wanting these StampinUp products can email me with an order. Remember you can brouse the catalogue on my blog at http://ohsomanycrafts.blogspot.com as well. Happy crafting.
Holiday Lineup
This is the card I am going to teach my ladies tomorrow. I used the 'Holiday lineup' set and stamped it on whisper white cardstock. Then I cut a mask to go over it. I then sponged the background with 2 shades of blue and green with the mask in place and left the mask in place while I stamped the stamp from Lovely as a tree over the mask to put it in the background but on top of the sponging. I used Pacific point card stock for the card and then mounted the stamped image onto confetti cream. I then used the Dotted scallopped ribon border to do the ribbon at the bottom with more pacific point. I coloured the image with StampinUp markers and have left room at the top for a sentiment.

Santa treat box
Oh such fun with Christmas a comin. I saw this little treatbox well actually its not so little it measures 5.5x4.5 and is triangle shaped, but it holds quite a lot. It would be a great gift box for those smallish items for christmas or change the santa and do it for anytime. Santa is punch art with StampinUp punches. The scalloped circle, the 1.25 circle the stocking punch for the mustach, the owl punch for the eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth and pompom and the word window punch. Santa's belt is the Dotted scalloped ribbon border punch.

Embossed Bags and mini milk ctn
Step card
This stamp set is from StampinUp and is called 'Lovely as a Tree'. I coloured the stamps with markers and the top and bottom pieces I stamped together then put at the top and bottom. I made the flower very simply with the 5 petal punch and boho blossoms and a brad for the centre. The sentiment reads 'Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees" a place I have been at times lately, but this card makes it seem a pretty place to be.

A Super gift from a friend
A very special friend gave me the little nurse mounted onto the white/brown swirl background and then onto the crimped white background. Then came up with the sentiment "Stop I have a rectal thermometer and I know where to shove it" I have been in hospital lately first to have both knee joints replaced then because I had an infection. The little gift my friend devised made me laugh as I am a nurse. I wanted to keep this as it is so special to me. I had a window box but it didn't quite fit so I made a blackmatand put gold interference on itto match the swirl paper she had used behind the nurse. Then on the window box I decided it would look better darker so I used walnut distress in and coloured the outside of the box and Disress ink pad Pine needles to add some colour to the inside of the box. Then I wondered if the interference would stick to the outside of the box and yep. It did so I used a SU stamp set Priceless to get the swirl pattern and used the gold interference and this is what it came out like. I love it and will find a place where I can display it.

My Slippers
Well after ending up in hospital with an infection in both my knee wounds I have been on IV antibotics and they are getting better and I am hoping to go home later today. Now I have these slippers that I bought some years ago and thought that where I was going on holiday the people would love them but they didn't like them and gave me the impression they thought I was stupid so I had put them away. Well my darling GD found them and pulled them out just a couple of days before I came to hospital so when I need DH to bring up some slippers I knew just where these ones were. DGD loves them and surprizingly they have been a great hit opening conversaton on the ward with other patients and the staff where I work thought they were sooo cute. No one has made me feel stupid for wearing them and they have started many a conversation. One of my work colleagues wanted a pic but didn't have her phone so tonight as I sit here I thought I would take a pic with my phone.

out of action again
Well Hi again and I'm not craftin I am in hospital again with an infection. Please talk to all the powers you know and asked them to take it away. I have been praying a lot lately. We have a stamp in our Stampinup range that says some things have to be believed to be seen somehow this seems very appropriate at the moment.
