Sanzi the NZ importers of many of the craft machines put on a tools workshop in Auckland where people could book and spend 2 days playing with these carfting tools.
The had the Cricut expression and the gypsy and we made the lovely thank you banner and the cup card and the pillow box in the 2 hours we spent at the cricut table.
We then went to the table with the Spellbinders Grand caliber and used the Grand Calibur machine and the grand dies and at this table we made the lovely scrap book page with the grad label die and the flowers. I did fall in love with the flowers and came home with several of the dies for flowers.
Next we spent some time on the Cricut Imagine and the yudu card maker which was again very interesting. We came home with a decorated box and a bird screen printed on material but currently I cannot find what I have done with these so when I find them will put up the pics. I already have an Imagine so it was not new to me but I did learn some new tips and came home with the yudu card screen printer.
The 2nd day we went to the big shot and Tim Holtz Vagabond table and did more pillow boxes but although the Tim Holtz Vagabond is an awesome machine it is a lot of money when I already have both the Big Shot and the Cuttlebug, so I stuck with buying dies rather than another machine.
The last table was the cuttlebug table and here I did learn a new technique. The tag is made by putting leaves through the cuttlebug with material and then inking the material with distress inks and stamping the bird image again with distress inks. We also mage the tag that I put on the bag I put in an earlier post from one of the new cuttlebug folders which embosses and cuts and we inked this folder as well.
Cricut Machines are great for crafters------------well done--------great blog
