Liam my grandson turned 1 in December. I wanted to make him a card but it got too big to go on one piece of paper. So I used 3. Well that is 3 pieces of A4 landscape (A4 is similiar to US letter size). Well after spending time cutting and designing I finally got this rather larger than anticipated project completed. All worth while when, when he saw the cards he loved them. His mum is going to put them up for him.

Elyse 21

Elyse was 21 had to do a card and give her a gift so back to work. I used the arondak paint daubers for the front and back of the card, cut the HB and name from Teardrop. The inside - the paper I stamped with butterflies in shades of blue and used stickers for the 21, the right I made pots and flowers from WIMG and the butterflys are from a dye from spelbinders. the flowers, butterflys and pots have been mounted on dimentionals.

Happy Birthday Melanie

I needed to make a card for my step granddaughter and decided it would look much nicer if it had something to go with it. I decided to make a bag after looking at a blog and I love the BTB&M cart. I also like the swirly font of LL and loved the flower frame and flower cause they looked nice. with the card I used the cupcake from doodle charms (just love that one) it looked lonely so I added the happy birthdays and the 20 sticker and painted in the candle glow with sparklie paint. the brads made it look like it had ( hundreds and thousands (not sure what you call them in US but they are tiny sprinkles which are like balls.) On the inside of the card I needed to conceal the ends of the ribbon and so I embossed the white and then as it looked so plain I added the frame from LL. on the right inside the card I used LL to do the words. for the bag I cut it at11.5 inches wide it is 18inches long and used the 12x24 mat and paper. Used a complementary paper and the matching ribbon to add dimension to the card. the front needed something so I added the flower from LL and then added brads and bows. the last pic shows the heart that is made up od beads and stones which I gave as a present but this was what started the co-ordination of the colours.

Happy Birthday

Well Ross was away on his birthday and I didn't send him a card so I decided it was never too late to tell him happy birthday. It's either late for this year or early for next year. Now it maybe just a little childish but he is still my little boy even though he is getting older. If he gets too old then that means I will have to be older as well and that's not a good deal. My first use of the sizzix train, the cuttlebug with a cb embossing cupcake & quickuts embossing folder and the cricut for the name. the CB die for the road/track and the spellbinders oval scallops for the tag and of course the little red train gromet.

We made a card, made a diamond card, stamped on candles and made a bag-a-lope. Many thanks to Julia who put so much work into the day so we could have such a lovely time.

2nd day at Tauranga Craft Show

WOW I just loved this card making demo, it was called inchies and I had no idea what it was about. It is 1 inch stamps and what you can do with them. Well don't you just know I have quite a few 1 inch stamps so look out. We stamped and layered 2 of them and then we embossed the other one. the 1st one is embossed. The embossing was fun.
