This is my scrapin Blog where I am going to keep all things I scrap about. I have discovered I love papercrafting and making things from paper and card. I have done crafts for years but have no record of them. Now I have decided it would be good to keep a record, so I am going to keep a record of everything I make so when I am forgetful I will be able to come back and go through my blog for a memory jog.

A house for Buddy
A friend of mine had a wee dog called Buddy. Buddy was a ripe old age and had diabetes and alought he was blind he knew his way round the house and Rachel faithfully gave him his insulin every day. Well time ran out for Buddy this week and he no longer wanted to eat and so Buddy is now in Doggie Heaven and hopefully he can see and run around like he would want too. My friend had him creamated so I made her this wee house for him. It comes from the Cricut cartridge Sweet tooth Boxes and was made at 5.5inches which made a house about 1.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches long.

Table and chairs
Over at Crafters anonymous tonight Julia had us doing a table for a cupcake. Now I have taken some poetic licence here as my cupcakes are only about 1cm across the table is about 3 inches high and I have added the table decoration of cuttlery and the chairs. The cutlery is cut from a cuttlebug die and the chairs from the cricut cartridge Summer in Paris at 4 inches. the cupcake wrappers on the table I cheated and cut from cricut cartridge Lifes a party at about 3/4 inch. the edge of the tablecloth is from another cuttlebug scalloped edge die. Leave me a message to let me know what you think.

DGD Star Book
On Crafters Anonymous we do a challenge every week on Mondays. This week we made a Star book. It is a lovely way to showcase many things and I have been wanting to scrap my DGD's birth photos. I have used the cricut for titles making the shadow as well, I have used StampinUp Punches and spellbinders nestabilities and I have used Mariposa stickers. My granddaughter is very special and I am pleased with the way this has turned out.

Christmas stocking card
The card I made with the Stocking Tag punch which was available to people who had a $500 workshop last month along with the stamp set Stitched stockings. The stockings are stamped and punched out and hung over the mantle which is made to go above the fire. The hearth is made from the jewelry tag punch and the flames from Blossom petal Builder punch. The bricks are 1/4 inch and hand placed to resemble an old fire place. the stockings are hung round the mantle of the fire place but when I took the pic one had jumped behind the flame. I did wonder if this was fate telling me I should burn the card or maybe just my christmas stockings.
Rachels workshop
As some of you will know I am an independent StampinUp demonstrator and i hold workshops sometimes at home but this day at Rachels who kindly invited family and friends to make these delightful decorations for Christmas. Rachel had an awesome workshop where the ladies made the christmas cracker and the star. The christmas cracker is made from whisper white cardstock, the embossed it with the bigshot and an embossing folder and then we sponged it with shimmer paint Frost white(116854). Can you see the shimmer on the petals of the flower? It does look so pretty. We added a flower from the 5-petal flower punch (119880)and the boho blossoms punch (119858)and added the sentiment Merry Christmas from the contempo Christmas (121498) as it fit so well in the Decorative label punch (120907).
The star is made of DSP and cut so you can curl each of the layers to the opposite side. It is very pretty hanging but my photos are of it on the worktop. The DSP being double sided gives an amazing look to this star.
