A purse from Cricut Forever Young. I was trying out the embossing on the front and back and added punch butterflys. I took it to work as I was going to give it to someone and then found out it was one of the patients birthdays. When I found this I thought I would give her the bag so had a little card and wrote Happy Birthday and gave her the bag. It is bad enough being in hospital but worse if its your birthday and you are in hospital. I hope I cheered her up.
This is my scrapin Blog where I am going to keep all things I scrap about. I have discovered I love papercrafting and making things from paper and card. I have done crafts for years but have no record of them. Now I have decided it would be good to keep a record, so I am going to keep a record of everything I make so when I am forgetful I will be able to come back and go through my blog for a memory jog.

Wee bag
This weeks online class at Crafters Anonymous we made a little bag. It is so cute. This one I made with one of the papers from the Mariposa stack of foil and glitter Butterflys. I have made the handle with the same paper and there are 2 eyelets in the top which are gold to thread the handle through. I used a brad to form the closure for the lid of the bag. I embossed it with a cuttlebug folder Flourished Frame that has a plain square in the centre so I didn't damage the butterfly and surrounded it in flowers.
another Brayered Sunset card
With brayering technique you use a brayer load it with ink and on a white or light cardstock you roll the brayer quickly back and forward across the cardstock running it down till it runs out of ink. You do this till you have achieved the colour you want then do another colour. With this card the base is whisper white and I have used Tangerine Tango, Peach parfait and daffodil delight I did the brayering from the top down and a tiny bit at the bottom where i put the ribbon. I then used the stamp in a dark green to give a silhouette effect. I really liked how this brayering matched the card base I had and put a half mat under it for a different effect. I tied another ribbon which is greeen with a gold thread round the green ribbon and tied a button to it. Love the way it turned out.

Basket of Flowers
Well as my other basket has 'issues' I had to make another one. I have discovered that there is no flower on the Easter cart that is actually supposed to go on the top so that was a relief as I did think I was going crazy. (OK well maybe I am crazy already) BUT I do love my flowers and I think they look quite cute in this we basket. I can see a heap of uses for this basket especially at christmas and birthday times.
Cricut Easter 1020 3d basket
I made lots of flowers and wanted a basket to put them in. This is the 3d basket from the Cricut Easter 2010. I love the basket, I cut it at 8.5 inches and the create a crittwers at 2 inches. The basket has a handle which looks like it should have a flower and leaves on it but there are none on the cart that match. Also when I put it together I found that the bottom was too wide and I had to cut it and put a fold it it. This worked well as I had made it quite big but a smaller one may not work if this is a problem with the cut although I have not noted that anyone else has noted this. I will cut some more and report back if this is a once only. You could of course put any flower on the top but I am surprized that it has not got one on the cart itself. Still it is cute!.

Flowers
Today I needed to rest so I decided to make some flowers. the red and purple ones are of cardstock embossed and sponged. The yellow ones are sweat shirting material and the pink ones are from the net that was in a boquet of flowers I received. I love the way they turned out especially the yellow ones. in the bottom pics I have made a basket from the Easter 2010 cricut cartridge.

Box with Draws
In our on line class on Crafters Anonymous tonight we made this awesome wee box with draws inside. I have just got a die that is a knife fork and spoon with a plate and cloth and having had discussion with a friens about kitchen units lately I thought I would make it into a kitchen Island. Love the way the little box pulls apart to hold so many things in the draws. What a neat idea from Bek out instructor tonight. Click on the link above to visit us on CA and come and have a ball with us. we are a great crown and do stuff every week.
